CSA Cables
CSA Type ACIC multiple-conductor armoured control and instrumentation cables comply with CSA C22.2 No. 239. They have a voltage rating not exceeding 1000 V and intended for installation in accordance with CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. Unarmoured versions are also available and are called Type CIC.
CSA Type TC single and multi-conductor cables comply with CSA C22.2 No. 230. They are without metal sheath or armour, and suitable for use in cable trays and other applications when installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. CSA constructions that may be TC-rated include Type RW90 and CIC.
CSA Type TECK 90 single and multi-conductor armoured cables comply with CSA C22.2 No. 131. They are intended for installation in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, on systems having nominal voltages of 5000 V and less and having a maximum temperature rating of 90 °C in both dry and wet locations. Armour types include aluminum and galvanized steel.
UL Cables
UL Type PLTC power-limited circuit cables comply with UL 13 and are intended for use in accordance with Article 725 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code (NEC). UL Type ITC instrumentation tray cables comply with UL 2250 and are intended for use in accordance with Article 727 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Interlocked aluminum or steel armour are optional.
UL Type MC single and multi-conductor cables have voltage rating not exceeding 2000 V, interlocked aluminum or steel strip, and comply with UL 1569.They are intended for use in accordance with Article 330 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70 and in accordance with Article 330 of the Standard for Electrical Installations, NOM-001-SEDE.
UL Type TC control and power cables consist of either two or more current-carrying circuit conductors, or one or more pairs of thermocouple-extension wires, and comply with UL 1277.They are intended for use in accordance with Article 336 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70 in cable trays, in raceways, and where supported in outdoor locations by a messenger wire.
Specialty Cables
Variable Frequency Drive or VFD cables are specifically designed to for the connection of variable-speed drives to AC motors. The cable is symmetrically designed with three circuit conductors and three ground conductors plus an overall shield to withstand high voltage spikes and mitigate electrical magnetic interference. VFD cables are available in CSA, UL, IEC, ICEA designs, with or without armour, with a selection of shield types.
CSA Type RW90, RWU90 and UL Type XHHW-2, RHW-2 are used for a variety of applications, including wiring of lighting systems, power distribution, and control circuits in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. It can also be used for low voltage applications such as communication systems and security systems.They are intended for installation in accordance with CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I or the National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70.
Thermocouple extension cables are used to extend a thermocouple signal from a sensor to the instrument reading the signal. Available types include EX, JX, KX, NX, RS/SX, and TX. Thermocouple extension cables are available in CSA or UL designs, with or without armour.
Cathodic protection cables are used for underground DC power supply feeder to cathodic protection systems for pipelines, storage tanks, and other buried or submerged structures. It provides the electrical connection between the anode and the metal structure being protected. They are insulated and optionally armoured with jacket to withstand harsh environments.
IMSA traffic cables are used in the traffic control industry to transmit data and power signals between traffic control devices, such as traffic lights, cameras, and sensors. IMSA stands for International Municipal Signal Association, which is a professional association that sets standards and guidelines for the design and installation of traffic control systems. IMSA traffic cables are available in a variety of sizes and configurations.

“Marine and Offshore Electrical Cable” or “Marine Shipboard Cable” means distribution (power) cables, and control and signal cables for installation aboard marine vessels, fixed and floating offshore petroleum facilities, and mobile offshore drilling units ( MODU s). Cables meet IEC requirements and are available in AWG or metric conductor sizes, with or without armour, and are halogen free.
